Impression & The Marketing Meetup #10

NOTE: THE EVENT HAS NOW PASSED

Networking events can be daunting and walking into a room of people can certainly feel overwhelming – there’s also the fear that we’re just going to be sold to! That’s why The Marketing Meetup exists. The Marketing Meetup is a friendly, fun and informal evening that allows like-minded people to share ideas and learn new things, all in a safe setting.

If you haven’t been to one before check out this video to get a feel for what it’s like.

The essential toolkit for the multi-site marketer

Having worked in multi-site hospitality for all of my career to date, it’s become essential to master being a multi-site marketer in a way that a) keeps me sane, b) allows me to do the best job for the brands I’ve worked for, and c) progresses my career without working 12 hour days. It’s a challenge at times, balancing site requests, understanding an entire estate and various locational quirks, maintaining brand identity and managing the expectations of multiple stakeholders who all believe they are your top priority! This talk aims to give marketers from every background a flavour of what being multi-site means, whilst also helping budding multi-site marketers in the room.

Takeaways:

  • Work smarter not harder when it comes to knowing your locations
  • Pleasing everyone, pleases no one – remember what your wider purpose is
  • You can help without doing the doing – your value isn’t rooted in your time
