Impression Wins Biddable Team of the Year in The Drum Search Awards 2020

This article was updated on: 07.02.2022

We’re absolutely thrilled to have won ‘Biddable Team of the Year’ in The Drum Search Awards 2020. In addition to this, we’ve been highly commended for our work carried out for our client EMIS, in the category for Best B2B Campaign.

These achievements are a testament to the hard work delivered by our PPC and SEO team.

Winner – Biddable Team of the Year

We’re passionate about Paid Media and truly champion the work we’re doing so to have this recognised is fantastic validation for our team & clients, without whom Impression wouldn’t be what it is today.

Head of PPC Liam Wade, said, “we’re ecstatic to win amongst some fearsome, respected competition. To be recognised as the Biddable Team of the Year is particularly satisfying because it puts the emphasis on the individuals working together as a team.

Whilst we invest heavily in automation to drive efficiency gains, Impression’s talented paid specialists are the people ensuring we’re always one step ahead of the competition. They’re problem-solvers, obsessive about high standards and always commercially-focussed. Our training programme encourages innovative thinking, rather than cookie-cutter strategies and I should think that the judges recognised this in our case studies. Special thanks to our amazing clients; they’re the ones trusting us when we go against the grain to get them the results!”

Highly commended – Best B2B Campaign (SEO)

In this campaign, we worked with EMIS, a global company providing market analysis and financial information to businesses on specific companies and industries in over 145 emerging markets, worldwide. Their database-driven website is home to 7 million unique URLs, predominantly made up of company profile store pages, that are both multi-regional and multilingual. We had to think “outside of the box”, implementing a strategy which sits outside of conventional SEO. With a strong focus on technical SEO, innovation and creativity, we were able to implement bespoke data driven solutions, resulting in significant organic traffic growth for our client.

Sean Burton, SEO team lead, said “we view being shortlisted for the Drum Awards as an achievement in itself, so to go one step further and have our work highly commended, makes us extremely proud. It wouldn’t be possible to build award-worthy entries without having solid results backed up by performance data. In the case of our work with EMIS, the results we’ve achieved are clear for all to see.

These results are testament to the great people we have at Impression, and in this particular case, our technical SEO specialists, who go above and beyond to deliver solutions and creative strategies which you’d argue sit outside of “traditional” technical SEO thinking. As an agency, we not only invest in the best tools and enterprise software, but also in ensuring we are able to attract and retain the best people.”
